The driver of the Toyota was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries

Fresno, CA. – A man was killed in a car crash that left two people, including a 3-year-old child, seriously injured in Fresno early Sunday morning.
The fatal accident happened around 2:25 a.m. on southbound Highway 41, near Highway 180, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 31-year-old Selma man was driving a Toyota Camry south on 41 when he stopped in the No. 2 lane for unknown reasons.
A short time later, a 33-year-old Fresno woman driving a Kia Optima south in the same lane crashed into the rear of the Toyota.
The impact caused both vehicles to spin out of control and come to rest in the far right and far left lanes of the highway.
The driver of the Toyota was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Kia had minor injuries.
A 3-year-old child riding in the Kia was restrained and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A man in the Kia was also hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say alcohol impairment involving the Toyota driver is suspected to have been a factor, pending toxicology analysis.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing
