Hesperia, CA – A 60-year-old man was killed and another person injured following a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Hesperia early Wednesday morning, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Balsam Avenue at approximately 6:25 a.m. on April 8, 2026.
Authorities reported that a gray Toyota Camry and a blue 2015 Toyota Camry collided at the intersection. A 23-year-old male driver of the gray Camry was found outside his vehicle after the crash, while the blue Camry sustained significant damage, particularly on the driver’s side.
Martin Ramirez, a Hesperia resident, was found unresponsive in the driver’s seat of the blue Toyota Camry and was pronounced dead at the scene. The 23-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. No arrests have been reported.
Investigators stated that drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the collision. The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Deputies from the Hesperia Station and personnel from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the scene and assisted with emergency efforts.
The crash led to the closure of westbound lanes of Main Street for several hours as authorities worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the incident.
