Pomona, CA – A worker was hospitalized after an accident where he fell into a hole at a construction site in Pomona on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, crews were called at around 1:15 p.m. March 18, to the incident in the area of 1800 Gillette Road.
Preliminary reports indicate that a worker fell nearly 15 feet into a hole at the site and his leg became trapped inside.
Firefighters immediately responded to the scene and helped rescue the man. A firefighter was sent inside the hole to pull the victim to safety.
After extrication, the worker was taken to a hospital with unspecified injuries. The victim was only identified as a 40-year-old man.
No additional details on the incident were immediately available. Authorities are investigating the accident.
