Canyon Country, CA – A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI after being involved in a crash that left two people injured in Canyon Country on Friday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place at Sierra Highway and Vasquez Canyon Road just before 12:40 p.m. on March 13.
Authorities reported that a Hyundai sedan and a Honda Accord were involved in the crash but the circumstances under which the two collided were not immediately available.
Two people were taken to Henry Mayo Hospital for treatment. There was no update on the extent of the victims’ injuries.
It was determined that one of the drivers had been driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The suspect, Jennifer Phillips, 49, of Burbank, was booked into the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Office on DUI charges.
The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
