Rancho Mirage, CA – A 62-year-old woman was hit and killed by a vehicle in Rancho Mirage on Sunday night, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Upon arrival, authorities located a pedestrian on the roadway with major injuries. Paramedics performed life-saving measures on the pedestrian but she succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The victim was identified by the authorities as Alicia Miller, 62, of Palm Desert.
A preliminary investigation determined that the victim had been hit by a vehicle. Reasons as to why the collision occurred were yet to be established.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have factored in the accident, according to the deputies.
