San Bernardino, CA. – A 59-year-old man was killed following a traffic collision at an intersection in San Bernardino early Monday morning, according to the San Bernardino Police Department.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:43 a.m. on February 9, 2026, at the intersection of West Kendall Drive and North University Parkway.
Authorities reported that Rafael Cruz Sr., a resident of San Bernardino, was involved in the collision under circumstances that were not immediately disclosed. A witness said the crash involved a white vehicle and a black car.
Cruz was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Information regarding other parties involved or additional injuries was not released.
The cause of the San Bernardino crash has not yet been determined.
Officers with the San Bernardino Police Department responded to the scene and handled the investigation. Authorities advised that additional information could be obtained through the department.
