Westminster, CA – Police in Westminster are investigating an incident where a vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian at an intersection in the city on Tuesday evening.
The accident was reported at around 6:50 p.m. February 3, in the area of Springdale Street and Westminster Boulevard.
The Westminster Police Department officers responded to the scene and found an injured pedestrian. The victim had been hit by a vehicle, whose driver stopped and waited for law enforcement to arrive.
The victim was rushed be medics to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The victim was identified by the Orange County Coroner’s Office as Bobby Callum, 66, who was transient.
The driver, who was not identified in the police report, was cooperative with the investigators. Police do not suspect driving under the influence factored in the incident.
Additional information on the collision have not been released. The accident remained under investigation by the Westminster Police Department.
