Westminster, CA – One person died, and another was injured in a fiery car collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in Westminster, according to the California Highway Patrol logs.
The incident was reported around 5:21 p.m., January 7, on the southbound Interstate 405, just south of Bolsa Avenue.
Three vehicles, including a red Ford Mustang, were involved in the crash. One of the cars caught fire and became fully engulfed. Firefighters responded to the scene and put out the flames.
One person died in the accident.
Another person was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries.
All southbound lanes were shut down until around 6:28 p.m. during the rescue operation.
CHP is investigating the collision.
