
Bakersfield, CA – A Tuesday afternoon accident between a vehicle and motorcycle left one person with major injuries in Northwest Bakersfield, according to California Highway Patrol logs. The accident occurred when the driver of the car made a turn in front of the motorcyclist at the intersection.
Authorities responded at around 3:14 p.m. on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, to the intersection of Renfro Road and Greatest Place.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 56-year-old man driving a white van was westbound on Renfro Road when he attempted to make a left turn onto Greatest Place. A motorcyclist traveling south on Greatest Place tried to swerve to avoid the turning vehicle but was unsuccessful and the two collided.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 54-year-old, was transported by ambulance to Kern Medical Center for treatment of major injuries.
The CHP reported that none of the drivers displayed signs of impairment. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
