Los Angeles, CA. – A woman was critically injured Friday morning after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking in a crosswalk in Valley Glen, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The collision occurred around 9:20 a.m. at the intersection of Chandler and Van Nuys boulevards.
Authorities said the woman was crossing Chandler Boulevard inside a crosswalk when a silver Lexus NX350H heading eastbound struck her.
The driver continued without stopping.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the woman to a hospital, where she remains in critical condition.
Detectives are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
