Debra Villasenor reportedly drove through the intersection and slammed into a traffic light pole

San Diego, CA – The authorities have released the identity of a woman who was killed following a single-car crash on Highway 52 in San Diego on Wednesday.
The San Diego Medical Examiner identified the deceased woman as Debra Kay Villasenor, a 66-year-old resident of Alpine.
Investigators said Villasenor was operating an SUV when, for unknown reasons, she drove through the intersection of SR-52 and Mast Boulevard and crashed into a traffic signal. The incident happened at about 12:10 p.m. on November 12, 2025.
Villasenor was pronounced dead at the scene at about 12:37 p.m.

San Diego, CA. A driver was killed in a solo crash in San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place at around 12:12 p.m. on the State Route 52 eastbound offramp to Mast Boulevard.
A 66-year-old woman was driving on the off-ramp when she drifted off the roadway and slammed into a traffic light pole.
The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities said DUI is not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The CHP is investigating the collision.
