Oasis, CA.- One person was flown to a hospital after a car accident in Oasis on Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident was reported on Harrison Street and Polk Street at about 1 p.m. September 28.

According to the CHP, a 34-year-old man was driving a 2005 Dodge Dakota when he unsafely entered the intersection and collided with a 2018 Toyota Tacoma traveling southbound on Harrison Street.

The driver of the Dodge had major injuries and was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs.

The other driver, an 82-year-old man, was not injured.

According to the CHP, the driver of the Dodge was suspected to have been impaired.

The accident is under investigation by the CHP.
