The pileup occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 at the Main Street on-ramp in Cabazon.
Cabazon, CA. – Multiple people were injured, two seriously, in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon near Palm Springs, Cal Fire reported.
The pileup occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 10 at the Main Street on-ramp in Cabazon.
According to Cal Fire, seven vehicles, including one that overturned off the freeway, were involved in the collision.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene.
Two people were taken to area hospitals by ground ambulances for treatment of serious injuries.
Three other people were also hospitalized with minor injuries.
Traffic on the eastbound I-10 was near a standstill due to lane closures following the crash.
