A 21-year-old Stockton man was reportedly driving a Honda Accord when he crashed into the back of a black Tesla Model Y driven by the Tracy man
Tracy, CA – A 66-year-old man from Tracy was killed in an alleged hit-and-run accident on Interstate 580 in Tracy on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place in the eastbound lanes just west of the Grant Line Road exit at around 4:45 a.m. September 21.
A 21-year-old Stockton man was reportedly driving a Honda Accord when he crashed into the back of a black Tesla Model Y driven by the Tracy man.
The Tesla driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Stockton driver was transported to Valley Care Medical Center in Pleasanton with moderate injuries.
The driver was later arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The CHP is handling the investigation.
