Adela Naldoza Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Crash near Ocala Avenue and Berona Way

San Jose, CA.- The pedestrian who died days after being hit by a bicycle rider in San Jose late last month has been identified.

Adela Naldoza, 75, died following the crash that took place near Ocala Avenue and Berona Way at around 7 p.m. August 27.

According to San Jose policeSan Jose police, Naldoza was walking westbound on Ocala Avenue when she was struck by a man riding a blue 16-speed Centurion bicycle westbound in the bike lane.

Naldoza was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased on Tuesday, September 2.

The rider was arrested on suspicion of riding under the influence of drugs.

He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

The crash remains under investigation.
