Hesperia, CA – One person was hospitalized following a violent crash on Arrowhead Lake Road in Hesperia early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol incident logs.

The single-vehicle collision happened at about 3:40 a.m. in the 5900 block of Arrowhead Lake Road, between Havenhurst Road and Randall Street.

According to the CHP, a black Honda left the roadway and slammed through a brick wall, and the car was split in half.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department and AMR responded to the scene and located the involved driver suffering from major head, arm, and leg injuries.

The patient was taken by ambulance to Hesperia Airport, where they were flown by Mercy Air 22 to a trauma center

Authorities said alcohol containers were located inside the vehicle

No additional information was provided.

The crash is under investigation.
