Oakland, CA – Two children ages 8 and 6 were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Foothill Boulevard in Oakland Saturday afternoon.

According to the Oakland Fire Department, the incident happened at around 3:05 p.m. on April 12 in the 4600 block of Foothill Boulevard near Fremont High School.

Two sedans were involved in the collision. The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately established.

The two children sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The police advised drivers to avoid the area between High Street and 48th Avenue near Foothill Boulevard.
