Long Beach, CA. – A woman has died several weeks after a collision that occurred in Long Beach.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, the accident happened around 8:30 a.m. on March 8, at Atlantic Avenue and Harding Street.

A man was driving a 2022 Chrysler 300 southbound on Atlantic Avenue when it collided with a 2010 Pontiac G6 making a westbound turn from northbound Atlantic Avenue onto Harding Street.

The impact of the collision caused both cars to careen into the southwest corner of the intersection where the Chrysler hit a sign and cinder block wall.

The driver of the Pontiac, 58-year-old Long Beach resident Kay Lynn Dehorney, was taken to the hospital where she later died.

The man was also hospitalized with unknown injuries.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
