Lakeville, Calif. – A woman is dead following a multi-vehicle traffic collision in Sonoma County Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal collision happened around 2:40 p.m. on November 21 on Lakeville Highway near Stage Gulch Road (Highway 116).
CHP-Santa Rosa says a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck was going southbound on Lakeville Highway when it drifted into the northbound lane and collided with an oncoming Toyota Tundra pickup truck. The impact caused the Toyota to travel into the southbound lane where it struck a Kia Sorrento SUV that was traveling behind the Chevrolet pickup truck.
The SUV rolled over killing a female passenger who was in the front seat. The driver of the Kia SUV was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries. The driver of the Toyota was hospitalized with moderate injuries.

Investigations revealed that the driver of the Chevy was driving under the influence at the time of the crash. The suspect was arrested and booked in the Sonoma County Jail on suspicion of multiple crimes.
An investigation into the crash is underway.

Petaluma, Calif. – At least one person is dead following a multi-vehicle traffic collision that caused one car to overturn on Highway 116 east of Petaluma, Tuesday afternoon, according to a CHP report.
The crash, involving at least 3 vehicles, happened at about 2:40 pm at Highway 116 and Lakeville Highway.
According to the CHP, a white SUV overturned following the crash. When CHP officials arrived, Good Samaritans were trying to get parties out of the overturned vehicle.
The other two vehicles were described as a black pickup truck and a white pickup truck.
At least one person was killed in the crash.
A SigAlert was issued at about 3:10 p.m. blocking Lakeville at 116. All lanes were blocked in all directions. The lanes were reopened at about 6:35 p.m.
