Rafaela Salazar-Ruiz killed in Moreno Valley Crash on Cactus Avenue
Moreno Valley, California (May 27, 2023) – Rafaela Salazar-Ruiz, 27, of Moreno Valley, has been identified as the pedestrian who was fatally hit by a Riverside County sheriff’s patrol car early Thursday morning in Moreno Valley, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at around 3:54 a.m. May 25, on Cactus Avenue east of Heacock Street.
According to the report, Salazar-Ruiz was hit by a vehicle in the area under unclear circumstances.
Salazar-Ruiz died of his injuries at the scene.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
