Scotts Valley, California (September 1, 2023) – Steven L. Bryant, 62, of San Jose, was among two people who died in a Scotts Valley collision on Wednesday evening, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said.

The fatal crash happened on Mount Hermon Drive between Lockhart Gulch Road and Skypark Drive shortly before 5 p.m. August 30.

According to the report, a gold sedan and a white commercial van were involved in the head-on collision.

Two people riding in the sedan, Steven Bryant and Laurie E. Bryant, 58, of San Jose, both died in the incident.

A girl in the sedan was transported to a trauma center by medics and was expected to survive.

The occupant of the van was not hurt.

An investigation into the collision is under investigation.
