Hollister, California (August 16, 2022) – Lisa Biakanja, 55, of Carmel Valley, was one of four people killed in a collision with a big rig in Hollister on Sunday night, according to a local news source.

The wreck happened at around 8:05 p.m. August 14, on Highway 156 near Fairview Road.

According to the report, Lisa was driving a Tesla east on Highway 156 when she drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a westbound tractor-trailer.

Lisa and her three children, Lucy Biakanja, 14, Leigh Biakanja, 14, and Ben Biakanja, 12, were sadly killed in the incident.

The CHP is handling the investigation.

Hollister, California (August 15, 2022) – At least one person died in a Sunday night Highway 156 crash involving a big rig and a sedan in Hollister, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The collision took place at about 8:05 p.m. just east of San Felipe Road.

CHP said for reasons yet to be determined, a white sedan collided with a white semi-truck with a white trailer, blocking traffic lanes.

Responding firefighters and paramedics said one person died in the crash.

Traffic flow was affected in the area due to road closures as authorities investigated.
