The fatal crash occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. on May 14, 2026, on the eastbound side of State Route 91 near Lakeview Avenue

Anaheim, CA – One person was killed, and at least one other person was injured following a motorcycle collision on State Route 91 in Anaheim on Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash occurred at approximately 4:20 p.m. on May 14, 2026, on the eastbound side of State Route 91 near Lakeview Avenue.
Preliminary investigation findings indicate that a civilian motorcycle collided with a white truck and a gray Toyota Camry. CHP reports stated that the motorcyclist went down in the No. 1 lane following the impact. Emergency crews arrived shortly after and found the rider unresponsive as firefighters performed CPR at the scene.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in the collision. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin. At least one additional party was transported to UCI Medical Center for treatment. No arrests were reported.
The exact cause of the motorcycle crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
California Highway Patrol officers, Anaheim police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene. Authorities shut down all eastbound lanes of State Route 91 for the emergency response, and a SigAlert was issued for approximately one hour. Several freeway lanes and the Lakeview Avenue on-ramp to eastbound SR-91 remained closed during the investigation.
The crash caused major traffic disruptions in the area as all mainline lanes were temporarily stopped before some lanes were gradually reopened. The SigAlert was canceled at approximately 6:14 p.m. after all lanes were cleared.
The fatal Anaheim crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
