Seven Injured in Tulare County Crash on Highway 198 and Road 196
Tulare County, California (November 26, 2022) – Five children were among seven people injured in a multi-vehicle collision late Friday night in Tulare County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at around 11 p.m. November 25, in the area of Highway 198 and Road 196.
Ruben Martinez, 32, was reportedly driving a Chevy Silverado when he failed to stop for a red light and collided with a car.
Martinez was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The six occupants of the car, including children aged between 6 and 13, were all transported to hospital.
Two other vehicles were also involved in the wreck.
CHP said Martinez would be arrested for DUI once he is released from hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
