Thurston County sheriff-deputies, the Yelm Police Department, and other emergency medical personnel responded to the scene.
Investigators learned that a driver sped through the intersection, running a stop sign and colliding with another car. The second vehicle rolled over and landed upside down near the roadway in some roughage. The speeding driver may not have hit the brakes prior to the crash.
Authorities said multiple people in both cars were injured. The driver of the victim car suffered severe injuries. Details about the exact number of the victims and the extent of the injuries of the other parties were not mentioned.
