Fresno County, CA – Four people, including a pregnant woman, were seriously injured in a suspected DUI collision that happened Tuesday afternoon at an intersection near Kerman.
59-year-old Richy Saucedo was arrested on suspicion of DUI after the crash that happened around 4:15 p.m., May 19, near Belmont Avenue and Siskiyou Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Saucedo was driving a Honda CR-V heading northbound on Siskiyou Avenue when he failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection.
The CR-V entered the intersection and slammed into a Honda Civic traveling eastbound on Belmont Avenue. After the impact, Saucedo’s car continued to travel before it struck a Nissan Sentra traveling westbound on Belmont Avenue.
Three occupants in the Civic, including a pregnant woman, suffered major injuries. The patients were hospitalized in unknown condition.
Saucedo was also hospitalized with major injuries. Investigators believe the driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was expected to be charged with multiple felony DUI-related charges when released from the hospital.
It was not clear if any occupant in the Sentra was injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.

Kerman, CA – At least one person suffered serious injuries following a three-vehicle collision at an intersection in Kerman on Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash occurred at approximately 4:18 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at West Belmont Avenue and North Siskiyou Avenue.
Preliminary investigation findings indicate that three vehicles, including a gray Honda Civic and an SUV, were involved in the collision. CHP reports stated that one of the vehicles ended up in a field following the crash. Authorities later received reports of an additional white vehicle involved in the incident.
Emergency callers reported that one person inside a white vehicle was unresponsive following the collision. At least one person suffered major injuries in the incident. No arrests were reported.
CHP officers, emergency medical personnel, and firefighters responded to the scene to assist victims and investigate the collision. Tow trucks were requested for at least three damaged vehicles.
The exact cause of the three-vehicle crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
