Fresno, CA. – 39-year-old John Mendoza Jr. has been identified as the man who died after being struck by a suspected DUI driver in Fresno on Friday night.
The fatal accident happened near the intersection of Gettysburg and Millbrook avenues, near Thomas Elementary School.
The man was walking in the bicycle lane and was struck by a car. The man was caught under the wheels of the vehicle.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Fresno County Coroner’s Office.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
