Yuma, AZ – An injury collision involving two vehicles occurred early Tuesday morning on East 32nd Street, leaving one driver in serious condition and another with minor injuries, according to the Yuma Police Department.
The crash happened in the 1300 block of East 32nd Street near Winsor Avenue at about 6:57 a.m. on February 3, 2026, when officers responded to calls of a multi-vehicle collision.
Initial investigation showed a 24-year-old man driving a Nissan Versa was making a left turn from 32nd Street onto Winsor Avenue when his vehicle collided with a Hyundai Genesis driven by a 25-year-old man. After striking the Genesis, the Hyundai then hit a parked 2026 Mitsubishi Eclipse.
Emergency crews had to extricate the Nissan driver from his vehicle due to the severity of his injuries. He was transported to Onvida Health and later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital in serious condition. The Genesis driver was taken to Onvida Health with minor injuries. No occupants of the parked Mitsubishi were reported injured. No arrests were made at the scene.
At this time, neither impairment nor excessive speed appear to be factors in the collision, according to investigators.
Yuma Police Department units, along with medical responders, worked at the scene to secure the crash site and assist the injured drivers.
The crash briefly affected travel along the block of E 32nd Street as officers directed traffic around the scene while clearing debris and conducting the investigation.
This collision remains under investigation by the Yuma Police Department as officers continue to gather evidence and determine contributing factors.
