Woodland Hills, CA – A woman in her 60s was killed, and another person was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on the 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision occurred on the northbound 101 Freeway near the Valley Circle Boulevard exit at approximately 1:36 a.m.
Authorities reported that multiple vehicles, including a black sedan, a black SUV, a dark-colored sedan, and a black Dodge Charger, were involved in the crash. The vehicles were found in the middle lanes of the freeway following the crash, with at least two separate impacts reported within a short distance of each other.
The woman in her 60s was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual was injured and transported to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel. The extent of injuries was not immediately known. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released. No arrests have been reported.
Emergency responders, including CHP officers and Los Angeles Fire Department crews, arrived at the scene to assist victims and manage the situation.
The crash impacted traffic along the northbound 101 Freeway as lanes were affected during the investigation and cleanup.
The incident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
