Fresno, Calif. – One person was seriously injured in a collision involving a school bus in Fresno on Tuesday afternoon.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident happened around 2:30 a.m. on McKinley Avenue at Hayes Avenue.
Authorities say a Central Unified School District bus with 26 children onboard was traveling eastbound on McKinley when it collided with a white Honda Pilot traveling north on Hayes Avenue.
The female driver of the Honda was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The school bus driver and kids did not have any injuries.
A Toyota sedan was also involved in the crash, but the driver was unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
