Turlock Woman Killed in Morro Bay Car Crash at Highway 1 and San Luisito Creek Road
San Luis Obispo, California (February 26, 2022) – A Turlock woman was killed and several people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision at an intersection in Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, on Saturday night.
The collision was reported at about 6:26 p.m. in the area of South Highway 1 and San Luisito Creek near Morro Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Officials say a 71-year-old Turlock man was driving a Honda CRV northbound on the highway and was making a left-hand turn at San Luisito Creek Road when he collided with a Kia Optima.
A third vehicle also crashed into the Kia after the initial collision.

A Turlock woman who was a passenger in the Honda was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the Honda suffered major injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
A 50-year-old man who was driving the Kia was also hospitalized with major injuries.
More details about the accident were not provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
