Ramona, CA. – A 76-year-old woman died after being struck by a car as she rode a mobility scooter in Ramona on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:57 a.m. on Main Street and Julian Street.
The woman was riding a three-wheel mobility scooter northbound on Main Street in low-lighting conditions when she was struck by a car.
The woman was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Toyota, of Santa Maria, CA, was not hurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
