Woman Killed in Bakersfield Accident at Harris and Ashe Roads

Bakersfield, CA – A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle collision in Bakersfield on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

The wreck happened at Harris and Ashe roads at about 4:54 p.m. March 27.

Police said a black Volkswagen was heading west on Harris Road when it drifted into the path of oncoming vehicles and collided with a black Mini Cooper and a red Honda.

A woman in one of the vehicles was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The other parties involved in the incident were treated for minor injuries.

Police said impairment was not believed to have played a role in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
