Lancaster, CA. – A woman died in a two-vehicle collision that happened Saturday evening near an intersection in Lancaster, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department Lancaster Station reported.
The wreck occurred around 8 p.m. near Avenue J and 27th Street East.
According to the sheriff's deputies, a woman was driving a gray sedan northbound on 27th Street East when she made a turn westbound onto Avenue J and hit a green minivan traveling eastbound.
A woman passenger in the sedan sustained severe injuries. Emergency personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
It was unclear if the other car occupants were injured.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
