Willows, CA – Minor injuries were sustained in a traffic collision involving a distracted driver that happened Thursday morning in Willows, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP Willows Area Office, the crash involved a Ford Fusion and a Ford F-150.
The Fusion had been traveling southbound on Highway 99W when the driver stopped at Wyo Road to allow northbound traffic to clear and turn onto Wyo. At the same time, the driver of the F-150 was approaching the intersection behind the Fusion. Authorities said the driver of the F-150 was distracted and did not notice the stopped vehicle ahead until it was too late, resulting in a rear-end collision.
The occupants of the Fusion sustained minor injuries.
The occupants of the F-150 did not sustain any injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
