Walla Walla, WA – Two people were hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle at an intersection in downtown Walla Walla on Wednesday, according to the Walla Walla Police Department.
The accident was reported on North Spokane and East Main streets on Wednesday, January 7.
According to police, two female pedestrians were in the crosswalk crossing the street on a green light when they were hit by a commercial van.
The victims were described as women aged 62 and 79. Medics transported one of the victims to a hospital while the other sought own treatment. Details on the victim’s injuries were not released.
The involved driver was cited for driving without a valid license and failure to yield to pedestrians at a crosswalk.
The Walla Walla Police Department is investigating the accident.
