Visalia police officers were conducting a DUI Saturation operation in the area when they observed a man run into the roadway on northbound Mooney Boulevard, where he was struck by a passing vehicle.

The man was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.

The driver of the car stopped after the crash. The motorist was not under the influence at the time of the crash.
