Victorville, CA – A 35-year-old man was killed, and six other people were injured in a crash involving two vehicles in Victorville on Sunday evening, according to the Victorville Police Department.
The incident happened at about 6:32 p.m. on September 20, 2026, at Nisqualli Road and Eleventh Avenue.
According to investigators, a blue four-door Honda Civic was traveling westbound on Nisqualli Road toward Eleventh Avenue. At the same time, a dark blue four-door Chevrolet Traverse was traveling southbound on Eleventh Avenue and was in the left-turn lane to head eastbound on Nisqualli Road. The Traverse turned eastbound onto Nisqualli Road, where it was broadsided by the Civic.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a 35-year-old man, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and all occupants of the Chevrolet Traverse were transported to Providence St. Mary Medical Center for treatment. The available information did not specify the number or severity of their injuries.
Deputies from the Victorville Station responded along with Victorville Fire Department personnel and American Medical Response crews. Victorville’s Major Accident Investigation Team also responded and conducted the investigation.
The crash prompted the closure of Nisqualli Road between Balsam Road and Ninth Avenue, as well as Eleventh Avenue between Winona Street and Sitting Bull Street, for several hours.
