Vancouver, WA. – A woman was seriously injured on Thanksgiving night after a hit-and-run driver struck her while she was in a crosswalk along East Mill Plain Boulevard, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
The collision was reported around 10 p.m. on November 27 at the intersection of East Mill Plain Blvd and NE 87th Avenue. Officers said the woman was walking in the crosswalk when a full-size Chevy van hit her and fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics transported her to the hospital with serious injuries. Authorities said she is expected to survive.
Surveillance footage from the area captured the suspect vehicle, and investigators are working to identify the driver. The hit-and-run remains under investigation.
