Vancouver, WA. – A was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Vancouver on Thursday evening, according to the authorities.

The incident took place in the 3300 block of East 18th Street at about 8:30 p.m. November 27, 2025.

A 46-year-old man was walking in the area when he was struck by a vehicle.

The driver fled the scene after the accident.

The victim was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.

Authorities located the driver at an apartment complex near the scene. The driver, identified as Michael A. Rhynehard, 43, was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of DUI, hit-and-run, and vehicular assault.

The Vancouver Police Department is investigating the accident.
