Santa Barbara, CA. – Authorities have released the names of the four victims injured in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 1 in Santa Barbara Tuesday evening.
According to a police report, the incident happened on State Route 1 near Firefighter Road at around 6 p.m. on April 16.
Investigators said Raymond Guerra, 21, of Lompoc, was driving northbound on Highway 1 and crossed over the center median into the path of southbound vehicles, causing a crash with six other vehicles.
Guerra’s vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by Yadira Rayarios, 20, of Lompoc, and two other southbound vehicles driven by Deya Bernal, 54, of Lompoc, and Wen Lee, 60, of Milpitas.
Guerra was ejected from his vehicle and suffered serious injuries. He was airlifted from the scene to Marian Medical Center where he was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence
Rayarios and Bernal suffered major injuries, while Lee had moderate injuries, and all three were taken to the hospital by ground ambulance.

Santa Barbara County, CA – Several people were hurt in a multi-vehicle collision in Santa Barbara County on Tuesday evening, according to the Santa Barbara County fire.
Six vehicles were involved in the crash that happened on Highway 1 near Firefighter Road just after 6:00 p.m.
According to the report, one person was ejected from one of the vehicles following the impact of the collision.
The ejected party was airlifted to a hospital with major injuries.
Two other parties sustained moderate injuries while a fourth patient had minor injuries.
The three patients were transported by ground ambulance.
Both directions of Highway 1 were shut down as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
