South Los Angeles, CA. – 28-year-old Clyde Miller died after he was hit by two vehicles, including one that fled the scene, last weekend in South Los Angeles, the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner reported.
The incident was reported around 7:35 p.m. on Figueroa Street north of 81st Street.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Miller was crossing Figueroa Street outside of a marked crosswalk when he was hit by a silver Toyota Corolla heading southbound.
The pedestrian was thrown into the air before landing in the roadway.
The driver stopped to render aid to the victim.
At that time, a blue vehicle also heading southbound on Figueroa ran over the pedestrian and kept going without stopping.
Miller was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

South Los Angeles, CA. – A man died Friday night after being hit by two vehicles, one of which fled the scene, in South Los Angeles.
The crash occurred around 7:35 p.m. on Figueroa Street, just north of 81st Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police officers said the man was walking outside of a marked crosswalk when a southbound silver Toyota Corolla struck him. The impact threw him onto the roadway.
As the Toyota driver stopped to help, a blue vehicle traveling southbound also hit the pedestrian as he lay in the roadway and continued without stopping.
Paramedics rushed the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not yet been released.
Police officers are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
The LAPD is handling the investigation.
