Colvin died from multiple blunt-force injuries sustained in the crash, as per the Medical Examiner’s Office. His death was ruled an accident.

Oxnard, CA – 65-year-old Levis Colvin died on July 19 after he was involved in a motorcycle accident on Channel Islands Boulevard at Manzanita Drive in Oxnard, the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.
Oxnard Police Department reported that the collision occurred around 4:36 p.m. on July 19, 2026, at Channel Islands Boulevard and Manzanita Drive.
Colvin was reportedly riding a motorcycle westbound on Channel Islands Boulevard when a 63-year-old Oxnard resident driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Manzanita Drive pulled out in front of him at the intersection and began making a left turn.
The motorcyclist attempted to maneuver his motorcycle to avoid a collision with the Jeep but struck the driver’s side of the car.
The man was ejected from the bike, sustaining serious injuries.
Oxnard police, EMS, and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.
The man was transported to Ventura Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The Jeep driver was not injured.
OPD’s Traffic Investigators are handling the investigation.
