Oxnard, CA – Motorcyclist Seriously Injured after Colliding with Car at Channel Islands Blvd and Manzanita Dr

The Oxnard Police Department reported that the collision occurred around 4:36 p.m. on July 19, 2026, at Channel Islands Boulevard and Manzanita Drive.

Oxnard, CA – A 63-year-old Camarillo man was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after his motorcycle collided with a car Sunday afternoon at an intersection in Oxnard.

The Oxnard Police Department reported that the collision occurred around 4:36 p.m. on July 19, 2026, at Channel Islands Boulevard and Manzanita Drive.

A preliminary investigation revealed that a 65-year-old Oxnard resident was driving a 2015 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Manzanita Drive when he stopped at the intersection with Channel Islands Boulevard. The driver proceeded to enter the intersection and began making a left turn.

At the same time, the Camarillo man was riding a motorcycle westbound on Channel Islands Boulevard. The rider attempted to maneuver his bike to avoid hitting the Jeep but still collided with the car.

The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike, sustaining serious injuries.

Oxnard police, EMS, and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

The victim was transported to Ventura Medical Center in critical condition.

The Jeep driver was not injured. He was evaluated for signs of intoxication, but officers said he did not show any.

OPD’s Traffic Investigators are handling the investigation.
