According to authorities, two vehicles were involved in the crash and a man was extricated from one of the vehicles
Tigard, OR – The Tigard Police Department has identified Hayden Hackney, 21, as a man killed in a traffic collision on Highway 99 in Tigard late December.
The accident happened at around 12:35 a.m. December 30, 2024, on State Route 99W at Southwest Canterbury Lane.
Reportedly, Jason Burgess, 40, was operating a Ford F150 when for unknown reasons it collided with a sedan driven by Hackney.
Hackney was pronounced dead at the scene.
Burgess was arrested on charges of second-degree manslaughter, DUI, reckless endangerment and reckless driving, Tigard police said.
Additional information about the mishap was not provided.
An investigation is ongoing.

Tigard, OR.- One person was killed in a collision involving two vehicles in Tigard early Monday morning, according to the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue.
The wreck took place on Highway 99W and Southwest Canterbury Lane at about 12:30 a.m.
According to authorities, two vehicles were involved in the crash and a man was extricated from one of the vehicles.
The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Two other parties were treated for minor injuries.
The crash caused the closure of the highway as authorities investigated and cleared the scene.
