Highland, CA – The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department has identified 22-year-0ld Emily Burgara and 24-year-old Robby Chavez, both San Bernardino residents, as victims killed in the Highland Crash last month.
The accident occurred on the 26000 block of Baseline Street on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 1:47 p.m., according to the authorities.
Two vehicles, a black sedan and a brown Mazda, were involved in the wreck. Both vehicles sustained severe front-end damage.
Chavez and Burgara were declared dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.

Highland, CA.- Two people were killed in a traffic accident in Highland on Wednesday afternoon, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
Shortly after 1:45 p.m. October 15, authorities responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision in the 26000 block of Baseline Street.
According to the authorities, a black sedan, believed to be an Infiniti, was involved in the crash with a brown Mazda.
Both vehicles sustained severe front-end damage.
The man driving the black sedan and his female passenger were both killed in the crash.
The driver of the Maza was taken to a hospital for treatment of major injuries.
An investigation into the collision is underway.
