Corona, CA – The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Coroner has identified the 4-year-old boy who died after he was hit by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Corona.
Nathan Paez, of Riverside, was involved in the crash around 2:35 p.m. on September 22, 2026, in the 1425 block of Pleasant View Avenue, the Coroner’s Office reported.
According to the Corona Police Department, Paez was standing in the roadway when he was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
At the time of the incident, Paez’s family members were attending to a car parked along the street.
The boy died at a Corona Regional Medical Center, where he had been rushed for treatment. He was pronounced dead at 3:16 p.m.

Corona, CA – A 4-year-old child died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday afternoon in Corona, authorities reported.
The incident transpired around 2:37 p.m. on September 22, 2026, in the 1400 block of Pleasant View Avenue.
According to Corona police, the child was standing in the roadway when they were hit by a passing car.
The child’s family members were, at the time of the accident, attending to a vehicle parked along the street.
Emergency personnel transported the child to the hospital, where they later died from her injuries.
The driver stopped and remained at the scene after the accident.
The Corona Police Department’s Collision Response Team is investigating the crash.
