According to the Chula Vista Police Department, just before 8 p.m., a Subaru was heading east on Telegraph Canyon Road when it attempted to turn onto Apache Drive and got broadsided by a Ford Mustang traveling westbound.

Chula Vista, CA. – Two people died when two cars collided Monday evening at an intersection in Chula Vista.
According to the Chula Vista Police Department, just before 8 p.m., a Subaru was heading east on Telegraph Canyon Road when it attempted to turn onto Apache Drive and got broadsided by a Ford Mustang traveling westbound.
Four people were trapped in the Subaru.
Emergency personnel used the Jaws of Life to free the victims from the car.
A man presumed to be the driver of the Subaru and one of his passengers died from injuries in the crash.
Two other passengers and the driver of the Mustang, a man in his 40s, were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Chula Vista, CA. – One person was killed, and four others were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Monday evening in Chula Vista, the Chula Vista Police Department reported.
The wreck took place around 7:45 p.m. on Telegraph Canyon Road at Apache Drive.
Police said a Ford Mustang was heading west on Telegraph Canyon Road when a Subaru started to turn in front of it at the intersection and the vehicles collided.
The Subaru overturned in the crash.
One occupant in the Subaru was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other occupants in the car were taken to the hospital. One of them sustained life-threatening injuries.
The Mustang driver was also hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
Authorities are investigating the collision.
