Tucson, AZ- Authorities are investigating a pedestrian collision that occurred at an intersection in Tucson on Monday night.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the accident happened at Mission Road and Ajo Way on Monday, February 16.
A preliminary investigation determined that a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area. Details on what led up to the pedestrian being hit were not immediately released.
The TPD as well as fire and medical personnel arrived shortly after and confirmed that the accident was fatal.

Roads were closed in all directions for some time as authorities worked the scene and motorists were urged to find alternative routes.
