Tucson, AZ – Michael Still Dies after Car Crash on Grant Road and Rosemont Boulevard

According to investigators, a Nissan Frontier was traveling eastbound on Grant Road when it crashed into the passenger side of a Mazda sedan traveling south on Rosemont Boulevard.

Tucson, AZ – One of the two people who were injured in a crash involving two vehicles at a Tucson intersection on Monday night has succumbed to his injuries, the Tucson Police Department reported.

The wreck took place in the area of Grant Road and Rosemont Boulevard at about 6 p.m. on Monday, August 17.

According to investigators, a Nissan Frontier was traveling eastbound on Grant Road when it crashed into the passenger side of a Mazda sedan traveling south on Rosemont Boulevard. It’s still unclear what caused the two to crash.

Police and the Tucson Fire Department responded to the site of the collision shortly after and located the involved parties.

A passenger riding in the sedan was rushed to a hospital with major injuries and was later pronounced deceased. The victim has been identified as Michael Thomas Still, 57.

The driver of the Mazda was hospitalized as a precaution.

A passenger in the Nissan was also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan was at the scene when the authorities arrived.

According to investigators, alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have factored in the incident.

Additional details on the incident were not immediately available. The cause of the crash remained under investigation by the Tucson Police Department.
